If you, like me, are one of the poor unfortunate souls who has to share their bed with a snorer, you’ll know how rough it is.
Averaging about two hours sleep a night, before giving up and going into the spare room or onto the couch – lying awake, wondering how likely it’d be for you to get caught if you smothered your significant other in their sleep and asking yourself ‘am I actually that keen on this person?’
But wait – what if I told you there was a way you could get a decent night’s sleep without resorting to ending your relationship/kipping in the spare room/murder? Not possible, right?
Because you can now get your heads on one of these anti-snoring pillows and, according to reviews, they work like a charm.
The Silentnight anti-snore pillow, which is on sale for £12 (you can get them in Asda), has an ‘ergonomically designed foam core to position the head in such a way as to minimise snoring’, according to the products description – which also goes on to say that eight of 10 customers say the pillow provides a ‘reduction in snoring’.
Meanwhile, the reviews from happy customers are glowing, with one writing: “Bought this for my husband after reading the reviews but was still sceptical, but was very surprised because since they have been used my husband doesn’t snore. I am very happy with this product.”
And another posting: “Bought this pillow for myself, my husband tells me I have recently started snoring so thought I would try the pillow and he confirms there is a reduction in my snoring so a result. The pillow is good quality and comfortable.”
While a third simply adding: “Do not know how it works, but it does.”
Even the British Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Association gave it a rave review, writing: “Replacing our old duck feather pillow with the Silentnight Anti-Snore pillow had an instant effect.
“It was immediately clear that there was a significant improvement in both snoring frequency and volume.
The pillow is also hypo-allergic, comes with a two-year guarantee and is made in the UK, if that’s important to you.
So, there you go. Whether you’re the snorer or the poor bugger lying awake all night listening to the snoring, it seems like these pillows are a sound investment.
