Healthcare Workers Can Get a Free Pillow From Mattress Firm

If anyone deserves a restful sleep, it is the doctors, nurses and other healthcare personnel working hard to care for those suffering the effects of COVID-19.

To celebrate World Health Workers Week, Mattress Firm is donating 10,000 pillows to healthcare professionals who are fighting on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.

Practicing healthcare professionals and active first responders are eligible for the giveaway. These include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, police officers, firefighters and EMTs who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.

They can enter daily on Mattress Firm’s official giveaway webpage. There is a maximum daily donation of 1,000 pillows and it is first-come, first-served.

Here’s their post announcing the event:

Free “Sleepy’s Comfy Pillow” Offer

The brand’s “Sleepy’s Comfy Pillow” is made from crushed memory foam. Not only is it supportive for back, side or stomach sleepers, it is also hypoallergenic, machine washable and breathable, providing a cool, comfortable rest. The pillow retails at about $50.

The donation of 10,000 pillows, which is made possible through a partnership with Protect-A-Bed (a SureFit Company), is valued at approximately $650,000.

“Protect-A-Bed is proud to partner with Mattress Firm to provide free pillows to healthcare workers across the country during this challenging time,” Bob Burbank, chief executive officer of SureFit, said in a press release. “The pillows are our way of saying ‘thank you’ for their commitment and we hope they are able to get the quality rest they deserve.”

How to Enter

If you are eligible for a free pillow, you can enter the giveaway by completing the WooBox form on the giveaway page using the email address provided to you by your employer. You can only enter once per day during the giveaway period.

The pillow giveaway form goes live at 10 am CDT daily. If the form does not appear, it means that they have already received 1,000 entries for the day.

You’ll want to enter as soon as the form becomes available because donations have been going quickly; the webpage reported that all 1,000 pillows were claimed within the first minute on April 12.

The free pillow offer runs through April 15, 2020.
